The Death of the TV News Director

It used to be that the person that ran the newsroom was none other than the News Director. 

But, News Director's are a dying breed. 

Check out this job posting for WPSD in Paducah, KY.

The person they are hiring will no longer be the News Director. Nope, they will be the Director of Cross Platform Content for the station.

And if you want the DOCPC job, the posting says that you must be a "fierce competitor that plays to win every day!"

And let's be honest, no News Director could ever do that.
