Shuffling the Anchors in Houston

While The Firm is shuffling their Anchor chairs around in NY, they are doing the same thing in Houston as well.

Over the weekend, Melinda Spaulding bid farewell to Fox O&O KRIV after more than a decade.

She is going to go into a life outside of TV news as Texas Southern University's Vice President of University Advancement. Spaulding's new job involves leading the marketing, communications, development and alumni relations departments.

The Houston Chronicle writes that sometime after her announced departure, KRIV's management finally got around to announcing Kaitlin Monte as their new evening and night-side anchor. Monte, a former Miss America contestant, joined the station in 2016 as a reporter and fill-in anchor.

Meanwhile, Coco Dominguez got a bump up the food chain to full-time traffic reporter lifestyle correspondent. Following Chrisdyann Uribe's arrival to the morning team, it seemed like Dominguez's interim traffic role had come to an end. It ended up as a promotion.
