Viewers Mad As Seattle Station Cancels Race Coverage

For 66 years in Seattle, the Seafair’s hydroplane races were broadcast live on one of Seattle's TV stations. 

KIRO had been covering the races live for the past years and this year, citing lackluster viewership and we're guessing money to produce, the station canceled the live coverage and instead just relied on a highlight show.

That did not sit well with many viewers.
