Look Out Sinclair! Rupert Wants Tribune

In what could be great news for both employees and stock holders, we have a new player in the game that is interested in buying Tribune. 

Fox owner Rupert Murdoch is said to be interested in buying Tribune's 42 stations.

Word is that Murdoch is teaming up with the equity firm Blackstone and is looking to launch a bid to buy the stations. 

Sinclair has talking about buying the stations and said they had hoped to announce a deal was made shortly.

The idea of Sinclair buying the Tribune stations sent shudders down the back of many Tribune employees and the thought of Fox taking them over is much better news.
