Bean Town Anchor Headed to DC

While Sinclair owned WJLA continues to lose talent left and right, they have some holes to fill.

FTVLive FIRST told you that WJLA's Morning Anchor Jummy Olabanji was leaving the station for WNBC in the Big Apple.

The Sinclair station reached out to another station that has been bleeding talent to fill Olabanji's spot.

The station has hired Nancy Chen, the current weekend morning Anchor and weekday Reporter at Boston's WHDH.

WHDH went independent at the beginning of the year and like WJLA has been losing talent at an alarming pace for months.

Many WHDH staffers jumped ship when they learned the station was losing their NBC affiliation, while WJLA staffers left after Sinclair took the station over.

Now, Chen leaves a weekend Anchor job for a weekday job, but she also now has to work for Sinclair.

Chen has been at WHDH since 2012.
