Former Fox News Host Alan Colmes is Dead

Alan Colmes used to be half of the show "Hannity and Colmes" on the Fox News Channel, has died.

Colmes was the liberal voice of the show before Hannity and Fox News decided, who needs liberals? Colmes spent 13 years alongside Hannity at Fox News. During his run on Hannity & Colmes, Colmes was criticized for being less charismatic and telegenic than Sean Hannity, and just a "seat-filler" for the liberal side. Some newspapers reported him as being Hannity's "sidekick".

He was also on Fox News Radio.

Colmes passed away in New York City this morning after battling an illness for the past several months.

“Alan Colmes was one of the greatest radio performers and talk media personalities of our time.  Yet, there is so much about his talent and personality that people don’t know.  He was a man of impeccable character and generosity with talents that extended way beyond the frame of reference in which he was primarily cast in the public’s view. This is a devastating loss,” said Talkers magazine publisher Michael Harrison.

He was 66 years old.
