Scripps is parting ways with their news director in Milwaukee. WTMJ-TV ND Janet Hundley told the staff that she's 'resigning'. We're not buying it, though. Here's the memo she sent out to the staff:
You are an amazing group of television professionals. You attack each day with passion and determination to serve the communities and people of Southeastern Wisconsin.
Three and a half years of managing through a merger, rebuilding a trusted journalistic brand and creatively expanding our brand across many platforms has been challenging, exciting and rewarding. I am proud of what we have accomplished together.
Now it is time for me to take on a new adventure. I am resigning as News Director. Today will be my last day at TODAY'S TMJ4. Best to you all in the new year.
Please keep in touch.
Who "resigns" three days after Christmas and leaves on the same day after being ND for 3.5 years?
You gotta love the communication business and the practice of truth in journalism.
