Remember the days of when the people on the news just gave you the news? 

Ahhhh.... the good old days. 

Now, the trend is to present the news as part of music lyrics. 

It has been done so many times it has become cliche. But, that didn't stop KMOV Traffic Anchor Laura Hettiger from turning her report into a Taylor Swift shoutout. 

The St. Louis Anchor got more giddy when Taylor Swift saw the video and said she loved the Anchor. 

Oh my gosh! Like Taylor totally tweeted me and now I might even win an Emmy. 

Never mind that many viewers in St. Louis had no clue what she was talking about. 

How about this? Stick to giving the news and leave the fan crap to the 13 year olds?
