Is Sinclair Planning to Hub Texas Newscasts?

FTVLive told you how Sinclair Broadcasting gutted the newsroom at WNWO in Toledo and moved the newscasts out of state to Indiana.

WNWO's newscast for Toledo, Ohio is produced and anchored from South Bend, Indiana. The same thing for Sinclair's WOLF-TV in Scranton, PA. In fact both stations use the same Anchors to do their newscasts.

Well, now sources are telling FTVLive that Sinclair is looking to do the same kind of arrangement in Texas.

Sources tell FTVLive that Sinclair is looking to build a hub facility in San Antonio that will be where the company will produce and anchor newscasts for Sinclair's smaller Texas markets.

Word is that the newscasts for the Sinclair stations in El Paso, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, etc. will be produced and anchored from the facility near San Antonio.

The company will continue to have a few MMJ's actually in the small markets to cover stories.

Of course, this will mean layoffs.

Sinclair gutted their station in Toledo and it very well might be happening to a number of their Texas stations.

Stay tuned.....
