On the 20 year anniversary of JonBenét Ramsey's death, CBS ran a two part special looking back on the events of 1996.
In the CBS special, investigators spent much of the time pointing fingers at of her then-nine-year-old brother Burke.
At the end of the special, CBS put up a slate that said the crime is yet unsolved and its investigators were simply opining.
Well, it appears that brief slate was not enough for Burke Ramsey. L. Lin Wood, the Ramsey's family attorney told Reuters that he will be filing a suit on Burke’s behalf, and that CBS’s “lies, misrepresentations, distortions and omissions” were “false and unprofessional attacks” that were “disgusting and revolting.”
Burke, now 29, has been the subject of but one of the many theories surrounding JonBenét’s death, but none of those theories has ever been proven in court, Burke has categorically denied his involvement.
CBS responded to the presumably forthcoming suit in a statement: “CBS stands by the broadcast and will do so in court.”
