A couple of more longtime Tegna staffers have decided to get while the getting is good.
Tegna owned WTLV (Jacksonville) is losing longtime Weather Anchor Steve Smith and Reporter Roger Weeder to the offered buyouts.
FTVLive was the FIRST to report that Tegna was offering longtime employees a chance to get out before being pushed out and a number of staff have taken the company up on the offer.
Smith (Pictured) is the morning Weather Anchor, Weeder is one of the longest tenured Reporters in the market.
Both decided to take the buyout. Look for Smith to be replaced by someone less than half his age and making less than half as much.
As to Weeder being replaced? Don't be surprised if that doesn't happen.
