Alycia Lane Vs. CBS Finally Gets a Court Date

Alycia Lane who was terminated from KYW (Philly) in 2008 may finally get her day in court.

Lane's email account was hacked by her Co-Anchor Larry Mendte while the two work at the CBS O&O. Lane's lawsuit claims that the station was negligent for failing to stop Mendte from hacking into her work and personal email accounts, and spreading gossip about her to other news media.

Mendte, now a talk-show host on two iHeartMedia radio stations that air in Delaware, could not be immediately reached for comment. He pleaded guilty in 2008 to charges stemming from the hacking and was sentenced to six months of house arrest and probation.

Judge Mark Bernstein set a May 13 date for the trial, which will take place in a City Hall courtroom.

KYW has previously said in a statement: "We look forward to presenting our case in court, and remain confident that we will prevail at trial."
