Atlanta Station Will Air Gun Fight for November Sweeps

WGCL in Atlanta is hoping more guns will bring in ratings.

The station says that for the November book, they will dedicate 20 stories to the hot button issue of Guns.  

Each weekday during WGCL News at 4, 5, 6 and 11pm, the station will air a different story on the issue of Guns.

Titled “The Gun Fight” – WGCL News will take viewers beyond the headlines and break down the facts, pro and con about guns.     

“We feel the time is right to look at all aspects of the gun issue.  No matter whether you own a gun or not, the issue affects you.  Likely you have an opinion, but do you have all the facts?  We were surprised by some of what we found and we think our viewers will be too,” said WGCL Vice General Manager Mark Pimentel.

“The issue of guns in Georgia and the United States is very hotly debated and CBS46 News plans on tackling this issue with good balanced journalism in our 4pm, 5pm, 6pm and 11pm Newscasts,” said WGCL News Director Larry Perret.
