Texas Station Hires Former Lingerie Football Player

KZTV in Corpus Christi has hired Sports Anchor and she is a former "athlete" herself.

Sources tell FTVLive that the station has hired Tessa Barrera to work in the station's sports department.

Barrera played football for the Los Angeles Temptation.

If you never heard of that team, it might be because you don't watch the Lingerie Football League like we do. Of course we only watch the games for the football and no other reason.

If you would like to see highlights from Barrera's playing days, here's the video:

Seriously! You Did Not Do That?!

Last month, FTVLive proclaimed kids left in hot cars was the TV news story of the summer. It seems like stations have been harping on the story ever since the ice desks all melted.

The latest comes from KSDK (St. Louis) Weather Anchor Bree Smith.

Smith was out to prove that even on a 75 degree day, it still gets hot inside a closed up car. So she sent out this tease on Twitter:

If I'm reading the thermometers correctly in the car, the temp is near 90 degrees and that doll in the car seat looks like he's almost real. Because I know, that no one would be so stupid to use a real kid in a hot car?

Right?

Surprise! We're Dumping The News

FTVLive has been telling you about the Meredith stations that are using news talent to do their very stupid "Surprise Squad."

The news talent goes to local grocery stores and pays for people's groceries. It is a dumb campaign and made even worse by using news talent to delve out the prizes.

We told you about the Meredith stations in Nashville and Las Vegas, but you can also add WFSB Hartford to the list of Meredith stations wasting time and money

During the first half last night's 5 p.m. news,  "THE SURPRISE SQUAD" took top billing over the breaking news of deaths in an afternoon boating accident in Greenwich, CT.   And there was a severe thunderstorm warning for a portion of their western CT viewing area.

Surprise, you had to wait for that news.

Poor Mr. Murrow just flipped over again.

Another Idiot

Any Reporter that goes live has to worry about the idiots that show up in the background of live shots.

But now, the new thing is grabbing the Reporter's mic and yelling "F@%K her right in the pu$$y." The fad has gone from coast to coast and it seems not a week goes by that some Reporter doesn't have their live shot bombed by a FHRITP jerk.

The latest one was WTMJ in Milwaukee, although this idiot was so bad a crashing the live shot, that many couldn't even figure out what was happening?

Let's go to the video:

What Anchors do off Camera

You might think that when an Anchor is off camera, they might be rehearsing their scripts or making some changes to some up coming stories.

Or maybe they are just dancing like no one is watching.

KTTV (LA) Anchor Araksya Karapetyan was caught on camera dancing and she didn't look to happy when she figured out she was on the air.

Let's go to the video:

ABC, NBC in Producer Swap

A blockbuster swap of top producers at ABC and NBC will bring new leaders to "The View" and the "Today" show.

The NY Daily News reports that ABC is poised to name Bill Wolff as the executive producer of "The View," succeeding the morning coffee-klatch show's longtime chief, Bill Geddie.

Wolff currently works as the executive producer of "The Rachel Maddow Show" and is the vice president of primetime programming for MSNBC.

In return for letting Wolff break his current long-term deal with the Peacock network, ABC has agreed to free ESPN's top programmer, Jamie Horowitz (pictured) who can now officially join NBC as the general manager of "Today."

His deal had locked him into the Disney-owned company until Dec. 1, but he will now join the morning show fray on Sept. 1.

For "The View," the addition of Wolff is the latest step in rebuilding the Barbara Walters-produced daily talk show which will be hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell and new hosts yet to be named.

Man Arrested for Saying "F@#K Her in the Pu$$y" on Newscast

On Monday, FTVLive FIRST told you about the idiot that grabbed the microphone from a WAND reporter during Decatur Celebration and uttering the obscene phrase "fuck her in the pussy" on live television.

Sean Streaty was performing a live broadcast for WAND and at 10:01PM the teen grabbed his microphone, uttered the phrase before taking off.

“The newscast spread on the Internet,” said Decatur Police Sgt. Shane Brandel. “From that the suspect was identified.” The suspect was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and battery. He was released on a notice to appear in court.

He is due in circuit court for his arraignment Sept. 5.

Note: FTVLive posted the video on YouTube and WAND had the video pulled claiming copyright violation. FTVLive has filed a counter claim, since the use of this video clearly falls into the "fair use" guidelines. We will let you know how that claim turns out and shame WAND to no end if we win that claim.
