Ummmmmm....Okay?

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel cited a study on his late-night show Wednesday that backed up the notion that Ohioans curse more than anyone else in the country, pointing to Akron as a perfect example.
“They [researchers] found that most of those curse words are followed by the word LeBron,” he said of the Akron native, likely referencing his painful departure from the Cavaliers.
Kimmel then introduced a fake newscast — that has since gone viral on the Internet — supposedly taped from an Akron television station.
The skit featured a foul-mouthed anchor delivering a newscast with Cleveland’s WOIO Action News banners. The anchor then turned to a reporter for a bleep-laden live report outside of the fictitious Akron James Baker High School, where parents donated their time to plant new grass at the football field.

Gray Television's TV3 Winchester (VA) called an all hands on deck staff meeting Today (that's a picture of the meeting on the right).
Was it to talk about how good they did in the November book?
Nope.
Maybe it was to say that everyone is doing a great job and getting a big holiday bonus?
Wrong again.
The meeting was called and the staff was told they are shutting down the station. Oh yeah....and it's effective immediately.
“We are grateful for the professionalism and dedication that our wonderful staff exhibited here in Winchester, said GM Terri Lloyd.
Of course the station showed no professionalism or dedication when they shut it down with no notice.
Idiots!
KSTP Reporter Todd Wilson hit the roadways early this morning with a Photographer to show just how icy and slick the roads were.
We think he did a pretty good job.
Sarah Palin said that she forgave Martin Bashir for the tasteless remarks he made about her.
But, this morning she seemed very pleased that Bashir is out of a job.
“It was refreshing to see, though, that many in the media did come out and say, ‘Look, our standards have to be higher than this,” Palin said on this morning's Fox and Friends.
Palin pointed out that after years she was used to these kinds of attacks.
Fox Host Steve Doocy hinted that NBC agreed with the comments that Bashir made about Palin. “One of the things about his attack is it was scripted,” Doocy observed. “The people at NBC had a chance to review it and said – they obviously, or apparently, all agreed.”
How Doocy knows that those comments were scripted and that NBC signed off on them, he didn't say.

Brady Smith is the Weekend Anchor at KCRG in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
When anchoring the news, Smith relies heavily on the teleprompter and will read whatever is written on it.
How do we know this?
Because he wife Molly said so in a Tweet:
Molly wants Ron Burgundy to come to Cedar Rapids and anchor a Weekend newscast with her husband. We're not sure if the station would let this happen, but Molly sure wants it to.
She also tweeted Burgundy to say that Brady also can't grow a mustache like the one the Anchorman 2 star has.
We feel sorry for Brady since his wife has no qualms about throwing him under the bus. If she starts tweeting Burgundy saying that her husband has a small penis, it might be time for ol Brady to stop paying the Internet bill at the house. Just saying....
One good thing..... Molly only has 10 followers on Twitter, so it's not like many people will see her tweets dissing her husband.
Well....until now.
Oops!
When Jeff Zucker became the President of CNN, he said that he would work out of New York instead of Atlanta, where CNN was based.
Now word is that Zucker is telling talent it's time to come join him in New York.
As Zucker looks to blow up CNN prime time and HLN altogether, he is moving talent and management to New York.
To get around some of the unions, shows will still be produced out of Atlanta, but they will air from NYC.
Word is that Zucker has told HLN star Robin Meade that he wants her to move to New York as well. A move that sources say Meade does not want to make.
One HLN staffer that may not have to make the move to Manhattan is Nancy Grace. Word is that Zucker is this/close to pulling the plug on Grace.

Yesterday, FTVLive reported that WFSB in Hartford had made the decision out of the respect to the families, that the station would NOT be airing any of the 911 tapes in the Sandy Hook School shooting.
They made this call before the tapes were even released.
NBC also leaned towards not running the 911 calls. They also put out this stance before the tapes were released.
In both cases FTVLive has said it was the wrong call.
How can you make that decision before the tapes had been released?
I never said that you have to run the 911 audio, my point was you should listen to them first before you decide that to run them or not. You don't make that call before you ever heard them.
This is a story that runs high on emotion and both WFSB and NBC News said they were making the call not to air the audio at the request of the families. The families said it would just cause them too much pain.
TV News is not always pretty and there are days when it sucks to have to do your job. But it is a Journalist's job to get the facts and tell the story.
What if Jackie Kennedy called up the networks in late 1963 and said, "I understand you got this film from Abraham Zapruder of my husband being shot. I would ask you not to air it, as it causes our entire family pain."
Do you not run that film out of compassion for the Kennedy's?
You can see the slippery slope you're heading down when you let victims and or families dictate your news coverage.
The families of the Newtown victims had been through so much. Losing a child is the most awful thing any parent can go though. Every one of those parents or relatives did not have to watch the news last night and no one would blame them if they didn't.
But, news stations need to deliver the news, that's what they do.
As for the other stations in Hartford and what they did last night with the 911 tapes?
WTNH and News 12 CT both aired excerpts from the Sandy Hook Elementary calls to 911. Both stations did an outstanding job of telling the story with respect, taste and sensitivity.
And in the end, that's why you expect from the people that give you the news.
As FTVLive has told you, the Anchors of Good Morning America are all in contract renewal talks.
FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that GMA lost one of their stars when Sam Champion decided to go to NBC owned The Weather Channel.
So what about the rest?
Word is that Robin Roberts contract is all done and she is staying at GMA. Her contract only needs a couple of signatures and it will be put to bed. One sources tells FTVLive that it could be a done deal by the end of the week. If not it will be soon.
But, what about George?
Word is that Roberts' sidekick George Stephanopoulos' contract is further away from being signed.
Stephanopoulos is ready to move off mornings and that is something ABC does not want. With them just losing Champion, they don't want to rock the boat and have Stephanopoulos leave the show as well.
Word is that Stephanopoulos is willing to stay on mornings for the near future, but he wants replace Diane Sawyer when she leaves. And he wants it in writing!
That right now is the big sticking point between Stephanopoulos and ABC.

It seems that even the powerful Barbara Walters doesn't win them all.
The New York Daily News says it’s a leak Barbara Walters doesn’t want you to know about.
Walters pushed hard to have NSA leaker Edward Snowden at the top of her list of 10 most fascinating people of the year — but in the end was overruled by network brass the paper reports.
Snowden, who did land further down on the list, is particular about his outlets, relying mainly on journalist Glenn Greenwald — formerly of the Guardian — to tell his stories, and would not participate. Instead, the network did a write-around with old interview clips for his part, much like they did with Gen. David Petraeus in 2012.
Walters had been collaborating with “The View” executive producer Bill Geddie throughout the year on choosing the 10 figures to appear on “Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year.” She had a particular fascination with the former NSA contractor, we’re told, because at one point she believed he would be chosen as Time magazine’s Person of the Year.
In addition to Snowden, the others chosen for the much-anticipated special include Jennifer Lawrence, Miley Cyrus, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West (starring jointly as KimYe), baby Prince George, the cast of “Duck Dynasty,” swimmer Diana Nyad, “Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts and Pope Francis.
I'm tell you right now, if Kim Kardashian or Kanye West is chosen as the MOST fascinating, I will never watch ABC again. EVER!
The november book is over, but that didn't stop KFOR in Oklahoma City from doing a stunt on their mooring newscast yesterday.
The station brought a camel through the newsroom for the hump day newscast.
Here's the video:
KSAT is all smiles after a strong November ratings book.
MySanAntonio.com reports that the sweeps served up big wins for KSAT-TV, further strengthening its position here as No. 1 in local news.
San Antonio's ABC affiliate drew the largest audience for nearly every news time slot: morning, noon, 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Its biggest success story was its late newscast, which is co-anchored by Steve Spriester and Isis Romero and runs 30 minutes longer than the 10 p.m. shows on KENS-TV and WOAI-TV. In the first half hour, 10 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., KSAT had an 11 rating, far ahead of KENS at 7.1 and WOAI at 5.1. A ratings point equals 9,062 households.
“We're up (from last year) in just about every day part,” KSAT spokesman David Cuccio said in an email.
For instance, KSAT's 10 p.m. “Nightbeat” saw a year-to-year increase of 26 percent in the sweeps period, which ran from Oct. 31 through Nov. 27.
“We're thankful our viewers know they can expect more from our news teams,” Cuccio added.
KENS' one news victory was at 4 p.m. The half-hour, anchored by Deborah Knapp, outdrew KSAT's show, helmed by Ursula Pari, by more than 7,200 viewers.
CBS affiliate KENS maintained its second-place status at noon, 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. However, WOAI's morning newscast, anchored by Leslie Bohl and Michael Garofalo, narrowly nabbed KENS' usual second-place ranking during the key hours of 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
WOAI also saw improvements at 5, 6, 6:30 and 10 p.m.
KABB's signature 9 p.m. news dipped slightly, but the Fox affiliate saw morning gains.
“The chemistry among our anchors not only shines, but we also have made a concentrated effort to provide information that's viewer-focused,” said Blaise Labbe, director of news for sister stations WOAI and KABB.
KMSP in Minneapolis is getting a new Anchor.
Kelcey Carlson is coming to the station from WRAL to anchor KMSP 5 and 9 p.m. weekday newscasts.
She will join the KMSP in early February.
"Kelcey comes to FOX 9 News with a passion for journalism and storytelling," Carol Rueppel, the station's vice president and general manager, said in a news release. "This, combined with her Midwest roots, makes her the ideal fit for this role."
MSNBC the cable news network that doesn't like to cover news has parted ways with host Martin Bashir.
MSNBC likes their actors/hosts to be edgy and controversial, but when you say someone should take a shit in Sarah Palin's mouth, that's when you crossed the line.
Bashir has been off MSNBC's air since the third week of November and just about everyone knew he wasn't coming back.
Bashir follows in the footsteps of Alec Baldwin, who was also fired for throwing gay slurs around the streets of New York City.
Bashir came to MSNBC 3 years ago after working for 6 years at ABC.
MSNBC is looking for a new actor/politician to replace him. You just know that wouldn't even think of hiring a Journalist.
