Over at Scripps-owned KJRH (Tulsa), the station and Chief Met Michael Seger have posted an excuse slip to get out of school/work to watch the solar eclipse.

This was sort of funny when TV stations did this a couple of decades ago, but it is more than played out now.

If I were a Scripps employee, I would use this excuse to get out of work. We’ll see how the bosses laugh when their own employees use the station’s excuse note.
