COVID in Cleveland

As COVID cases are surging across the country, they also appear to be hitting a number of Nexstar owed outlets.

FTVLive has told you that outbreaks have been reported at Nexstar owned KTLA, KRQE, WGN and News Nation.

Sources at Nexstar’s WJW in Cleveland say that you can add that station to the list.

One station insider tells FTVLive that management seems more interested in keeping the cases on the down-low.

“They are not notifying us when we’ve been exposed. We are finding out who has Covid in the building thru office gossip and calling each other. Big outbreak in sales dept. and they didn’t notify those of us in other departments that came into contact with them!,” said the employee to FTVLive.

They add that one manager that has been vocal about being anti-mask, anti-vax had contracted COVID and came to work sick.

While many media ownership groups have mandated that employees must be vaccinated against COVID as a condition of employment, Nexstar has not issued any mandates.

How’s that working out for them?
