Chris Tye has been an Anchor/Reporter at Tegan’s WYC (Cleveland) since 2004.

“Chris Tye first made Cleveland home while attending John Carroll University. After graduation he worked at TV stations in Traverse City and Grand Rapids, Michigan before returning to Northeast Ohio. Since joining WKYC in 2004, he's been awarded with multiple Emmy Awards and Edward R. Murrow Awards for his anchoring and reporting.”

Seems like the kind of Journalist you would want to keep around, right?

But this is Tegna and it is a good bet that after 15 years, Tye is making some decent money. There is two things that Tegna does not like? Old and well payed.

Sources tell FTVLive that Tye has been told that his contract is not being renewed.
