As more and more local station seems to put less emphasis on sports in the newscast, some sports people are making the leap. 

WOAI (San Antonio) Sports Anchor David Chancellor figures if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. 

Chancellor posted to his social media that is moving to the station's news side and will become the morning news Anchor at the Sinclair station. 

Chancellor will join newly hired Alexis Del Cid on the morning news desk.  

Let's hope he has a good alarm clock.
