Wednesday July 25th.... Can it be Done?

FTVLive is going to throw down a challenge to Sean Hannity, Brian Stelter, Tucker Carlson, Chris Cuomo, Rachel Maddow, Steve Doocy, the guy that sits across from Steve Doocy and everyone else in cable news.

I really don't think you people can do it and here is a chance to prove me wrong.

For just one day.....ONE DAY..... can you guys do your show with no hate, no bashing the other side and just stay positive?

That means Brian Stelter does not bash Fox News or the President in his newsletter. Sean Hannity leaves the left alone and only talks positive. He can praise Trump all he wants, but for just this one day, he doesn't bash the other side. Rachel Maddow can gloat about all the great things the Democrats are doing, but bashing the right and the GOP is out of bounds for just this one day.

Tucker, Laura, Don, Jake, Chris, Lawrence? Come on, are you guys in? For just one day, let's stay positive and not spew the hate. Just ONE DAY!

I have said this before and I believe it with all my heart. Nobody has done more to divide this country than cable news. Not Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump, but cable news.

Show your viewers that for just one day, each one of you can be civil and not only respect each other, but respect the viewers and this country.

The day I have picked for you guys to be civil is Wednesday, July 25th. It's one day out of 365 days, I'm fairly certain you can do it.

If you guys can do it for just one day, maybe, just maybe it will show the country that we can all get along and we can come together for the good of this great land of ours.

Maybe the politicians will take a cue from you and also try and reach out to the other side. Maybe those that tweet messages bashing the other side will also take a break for one day. It doesn't mean you can still take about the positive "your side" is doing, just refrain from attacking the other side.

I'm not trying to change the world, I'm just trying to make it better for one day. I will reach out to the cable news people and see if they will agree to sign onto this for one day?

Every journey starts with a first step. Come on guys, I'm asking you for a single day. You really have a chance to prove to everyone that it can be done.

What do you say?

It is an Honor

Yesterday we told you that Honor needed help.

Honor is a golden retriever that was born without her back right paw.

She was in training to be a service dog but her disability made this impossible for her to do all her tasks. But instead of casting her aside, they they found a different plan for Honor.

After a lot of hard work and dedication Honor’s Handler got approval for Honor to be the Facility Dog at the VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Honor now spends her days bringing love and joy to Veterans and employees of the Medical Center. She makes people smile and changes the atmosphere of the hospital the minute she arrives.

Yesterday was asked if you would help this dog with her medical expenses. Honor is in pain and needs a new prosthetic to help her get around.

Let's be honest, TV people are very cheap. Just talk to a waitress or a cab driver in any TV convention city and ask how they are doing on tips? And you will see my point.

But, I'm happy to say that a number of you did step up and helped Honor out. An ABC executive, a GM in the Midwest, a couple of News Directors and TV agents were just some of the people that donated money to help this dog no longer be in pain.

I don't know this dog and I never met this dog, but when it comes to animals and our Vets, I am willing to help out when I can and I'm glad some of you did as well.

Yesterday, when I posted Honor's story, only $500 of the $2500 goal had been raised. Thanks to many of you people in TV news, they have reached almost $2000 and are just $500 away.

I gave another $50 this morning and I hope that some of you that did not have a chance to help this poor dog out, will see it in your heart to get Honor to the $2500 goal.

As for me, being able to bring her need into the spotlight and the chance to donate a few bucks, it truly has been....shall I say it..... An Honor.

Here is the GoFundMe page if you feel the urge to help.
