New Orleans GM Dies At 99

The GM who guided WWL-TV to dominance, has died at 99. J. Michael Early ran the station for almost 30 years. He retired in 1998 at the age of 82.

He started at the station at age 45 when it was owned by the Jesuits of Loyola. Early guided the station through ownership changes from the Jesuits to Belo and then Gannett.
