Doh! Dallas Station Accuses Actress of Boston Bombings

The media mistakes in covering the Boston Bombings have been more than anyone would want to admit it.

But, one Dallas station may have made the most embarrassing mistake of all.

KDFW the local Fox affiliate fingered popular "New Girl" actress Zooey Deschanel as a suspect in last week’s tragic Boston Marathon bombing.

“He is 19 year old Zoey Deschanel,” read the caption, which was meant to refer to the now captured Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev.

Yes, not only did KDFW Fox 4 accuse Deschanel of being a murderer but also a dude. (Although they did shave 14 years off of her age.)

Radio show producer Peter Ogburn noticed the captioning mistake when he was watching coverage of the manhunt, and he Tweeted out a screenshot of the error.

Deschanel then re-tweeted her response to the mix up, proving she is well schooled in internet lingo circa 2011 in the process.

So in case you were wondering how to pronounce Dzhokhar Tsarnaev it kind of sounds like Zooey Deschanel. Only not really.
