Former Denver Reporter Heads to Court

Most often when you read on FTVLive about a former Reporter headed to court, it's because he/she has just been arrested for something.

Well, that's not the case with this story.

Former Denver television reporter Raj Chohan will speak in front of a jury instead of a camera when he begins his new job as a prosecutor in the Weld County district attorney's office March 18.

Chohan, who worked as an award-winning reporter for Denver's KCNC CBS4 before practicing commercial litigation and media law at BakerHostetler in Denver, also hosts a weekly political-discussion program, "Colorado Inside Out," for Colorado Public Television.

Weld District Attorney Ken Buck said Chohan was the best person who applied for the job.

"He just has outstanding credentials to be a prosecutor," Buck said. "He covered the courts, but he's never been a prosecutor. He is very good on his feet, which is important for a prosecutor. He has a great background in law school, and he's working for one of the most prestigious firms in Denver."
