Getting Ready For Megyn Kelly

In a world EXCLUSIVE to our FTVLive Patrons, FTVLive told you that it appears that Megyn Kelly is about to make a return to cable news.

FTVLive FIRST reported that Kelly is expected to join Nexstar’s News Nation in the Fall.

FTVLive has continued to chase this story, but sources at Nexstar tell us that Kelly is coming on board at News Nation.

When FTVLive posted the news on our Patron Only page, insiders at News Nation say that boss, “Michael Corn has been hiding in his office all day, not speaking to anyone.”

You would think that if the news wasn’t true, Corn would have been roaming the hallways denying the story.

Of course, Jeff Zucker used to deny FTVLive reports, and then exactly what we reported would happen (I.e Jay Leno, Conan O’Brien).

Maybe Corn is a bit more ethical than Zucker and does not want to deny an FTVLive scoop that he knows is happening?

News Nation is based out of Chicago, but we hear that Nexstar will be building Kelly a studio in New York to work out of. Nexstar owns WPIX so they have the real estate in the Big Apple.

Nexstar sources tell FTVLive that they are looking at September 19th as the launch date of Kelly’s show and it appears that News Nation is looking at both the 8P M and 9 PM hours, but leaning towards 8 PM. If it is 8 PM, that puts Kelly up against Tucker Carlson on Fox News. If they go at (, that has her head to head with Sean Hannity.

But, along with hosting a show, it appears that the News Nation brass is also looking to use as the face of the network for election coverage.

Kelly’s Twitter feed is chocked with her right-wing views and if Nexstar is hiring her for News Nation, they clearly will no longer be trying to pass themselves off a non-biased and objective network.

But, Kelly could be the hire that Nexstar needs to try and move the needle at News Nation. The network has been a dud in the ratings since it launched and Megyn Kelly might be able to more viewers.

Stay tuned….
