CNN Uses Fox News Playbook

It always seemed that when any on-air person at Fox News got involved in any kind of controversy, they would suddenly gone on a “long planned” vacation.

FTVLive would often cast our doubt on such “vacation” and so would others, like CNN media critic Brian Stelter.

But now, that CNN’s Chris Cuomo is “on vacation” this week, Stelter points out how the right will say that it’s bullshit. But, Stelter says he checked with his sources and it’s really true (this time) and Chris Cuomo is really on a real vacation.

You see, when a Fox News talent takes a “vacation” its B.S., but when a CNN talent goes on “vacation” well, then it is the real deal.

Watch how Stelter tries to flip the script when it’s about CNN:

Okay… let’s unpack some of what Jeff Zucker’s water boy had to say.

First of all, anytime that Stelter, who works at CNN says that he checked with his “sources” at CNN, he looks like a complete tool. Having “sources” at the place you work just sounds stupid.

Also, Stelter made sure to add that "a lot of people [at CNN] feel a lot of sympathy for him."

What does that have to do with anything?

Chris Cuomo crossed the ethical line a number of times. Yes, he tried to help out his brother, whose actions put Chris Cuomo in that position. You could argue that crossing the line makes Chris a good brother. But, he crossed the line of ethics in journalism.

He made the choice of putting his family before his job. Some might find that commendable, but it still doesn’t make it right.

CNN should have fired or suspended Chris Cuomo for his actions. Instead, he’s on “vacation” for his birthday week.

This brings up another question. What grown adult takes off a week from work for their birthday?

Are we supposed to believe all this crap, because Brian Stelter was told by Jeff Zucker to tell us that’s what we’re supposed to believe?

Sorry, Brian, I don’t believe it when Fox News does it, and I don’t believe it now.

Also, it looks like CNN has figured out how to fill Cuomo’s spot:
