FTVLive has been telling you that Sinclair was launching a new show with disgraced former Fox News host Eric Bolling.
We told you last month that the show was going to be airing on the Sinclair stations.
This week, Sinclair’s VP of News Scott Livingston told Sinclair employees what FTVLive had already told them.
In the memo, Livingston writes, “Eric was an integral part to one of FOX News’ most successful shows, and served as an original anchor of “The Five” – a revolutionary show for cable news.” He makes no mention as to why Bolling was fired from Fox News.
Here is the internal memo that Livingston sent out and was obtained by FTVLive:

Subject: America This Week Memo
I have some exciting news to share with you. We’re going to launch a weekly news talk program called “America This Week” with Eric Bolling. The show will be a blend of fact based journalism and analysis of world events. It will also showcase elements and angles to the stories that have been overlooked by other forms of media. It’s built on the idea that an informed democracy is an engaged one. This news hour will bring the worlds of Capitol Hill, Main Street, Politics and Community together.
Our plan is to launch the show on Wednesday, April 10. It will air live at 7pm on WJLA 24/7 and streamed live on all of our websites. We will make the show available to our stations for weekend broadcast. Dave and Tammy will be following up with you and your team for programming times. It will be a weekly program for the next several months. The show will be distributed on satellite and FTP. Engineering will be following up with more details.
There are 4-2minute internal breaks and a 90 second end break. For now, the show will be sold locally.
“America This Week” is a natural extension of our commitment to expanding content on the issues most meaningful to our audience, while also attracting new viewers. Eric Bolling is a seasoned anchor with a significant digital following that he has used as a platform to provide diverse viewpoints on policy issues with audiences. As you know, he has been instrumental in raising awareness of the opioid epidemic through his incredibly well-received Town Hall series. His experience mediating the passions and beliefs of a diverse group of guests with strong, hard-hitting opinions on all things business, culture, and politics makes Eric a welcome addition to our award-winning news team.
Eric was an integral part to one of FOX News’ most successful shows, and served as an original anchor of “The Five” – a revolutionary show for cable news. He spent six years in the middle seat as the popular co-host on that show. He simultaneously hosted his own show on FOX News, “Cashin In” where he single-handedly umpired the passions and opinions of a diverse group of guests with strong, hard-hitting opinions on all things business, culture, and politics.
He also is the highly acclaimed author of two New York Times best sellers, Wake Up America in 2016, and The Swamp in 2017.
