Communities spent the last year mobilizing to rip automated license plate readers out of their neighborhoods, pushing back against constant surveillance disguised as safety. Now, the modern digital voyeur is facing that exact same grass-roots eviction notice. Call it the Flock Camera effect. After a parade of content creators turned the sacred lawns of Wimbledon and the stands of the US Open into their own personal ring lights, tournaments are drawing a hard line. Wimbledon just slammed the door, outright banning influencers from its hallowed grounds to preserve actual sport over staged reaction shots. It is happening on the ground level, too. Restaurants are permanently stapling "No Influencers" signs to their front doors. Right here in Central Florida, locals and annual passholders heading into the theme parks are at their absolute breaking point. Visitors dropping hard-earned cash for a magical day are sick of listening to creators scream into ring lights on quiet dark rides, block walkways to set up tripods, and squat at quick-service tables for forty minutes just to film a lukewarm reaction to a churro. Like those controversial pole-mounted surveillance systems, influencers aren't going to vanish off the face of the earth entirely. They will still linger in the dark corners of the internet. But the public appetite for having a camera shoved in their face while trying to eat, travel, or watch a match has officially hit zero.
