It happened for the third time…. Across the street from SeaWorld here in Orlando is Discovery Cove. SeaWorld runs Discovery Cove, and you can go there and swim in a lagoon with saltwater fish, stingrays, and sharks. It is one of my favorite places in Orlando. You get a breakfast buffet, a lunch buffet, and swimming in the lagoon. They also have a massive bird aviary, and you can swing with dolphins as well. It costs a couple of hundred bucks, but it’s worth the price, and the entire park feels like you’re on a tropical island. Sounds great, but I’m not sure I will go back. I went to Discovery Cove in February, and shortly after getting home, I got sick and was down for a week. In April, I went to Discovery Cove, and again, I was sick for nearly a week. Despite it happening twice, I really didn’t think the trip to Discovery Cove and getting sick were related. I thought it was a coincidence. On Friday, I went to Discovery Cove, and I am once again sick. Since I rarely get sick, yet I have the last three times I have gone to the park, I now think it is related. I hate being sick, and here I am again, dealing with it. Hopefully, I’ll be better tomorrow, and this won’t last for a week. But, I have a feeling this week is going to suck. All that being said, I still love Discovery Cove and would recommend it to people visiting Orlando. I’d say, “Maybe I’ll see you there,” but I’m not sure I’ll go back.
