WAVE (Louisville) Executive Producer Jen Nickels is headed to Columbus as the Deuce.
In a Facebook post, Nickels said that she will be the new Assistant News Director at WBNS in Columbus.
She will be replacing Karen Salajko, who has been at WBNS for years. Word is that Salajko's husband has a job with the Detroit Red Wings and she will be relocating to the Motor City.
Here is Nickls social media post about her new gig that starts in September:
“There’s no place like home"
The secret is out! After 15 years I'm finally heading back to Central Ohio, my true hometown and the place where I found my calling to become a journalist. I will join WBNS as Assistant News Director in late September! I’m beyond thrilled to work for the station I grew up watching, join News Director Kelly Frank and an amazing team of journalists, see the buckeyes in action and be in the place my heart has never left. We have a saying in my family that "Everything happens for a reason" and I'm so grateful for this opportunity. The best is yet to come! #dreamsdocometrue #dreambig #cbus #columbus #columbusohio #614 #homesweethome #newslife
