WSCR Sports Radio host Dan Bernstein is in hot water for tweeting an offensive message about a female television personality.
This is the second time in months.
Bernstein was pulled from his afternoon show Wednesday and ordered him to delete a tweet he posted Monday night about Cheryl Scott (pictured), the meteorologist at WLS in Chicago.
After the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup, Bernstein tweeted: “And the real award for this year’s close connection to the @NHLBlackhawks is @CherylScottWX!!”
Rumors were going around that the Weather Anchor had been romantically linked to one or more Blackhawks players, something that she denies.
Robert Feder says that on Tuesday, the radio station received calls from WLS management and Scott’s agent, attorney Andrew Stroth. Both objected strongly to the tone and inference of Bernstein’s tweet, according to sources familiar with the conversations.
By Wednesday, Bernstein had been slapped with a one-day suspension and was ordered to remove the message.
Back in March, Bernstein caught heat for making social media comments about CSN Chicago sports anchor/reporter Aiyana Cristal's boobs.
I think we all know who the real boob is here.
