Life After TV News: Longtime Dallas Reporter Leaving the TV Business

Longtime WFAA Medical Reporter Janet St. James is leaving the station and the TV business.

St. James signs off from the Dallas station on March 17th to become the new "Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications for HCA North Texas". We're guessing she will have a really big business card to fit all that on it.

“I will miss them beyond words,” St. James said of her WFAA colleagues. “I’ve been a TV journalist nearly 25 years. I like adventure, so I’m excited about this one!”

WFAA News Director Carolyn Mungo wrote, “her coverage of medical news in North Texas will sorely be missed,” in a memo to the staff.

St. James joined the station in July 1996 as a general assignments reporter and has been the station’s full-time medical correspondent since 2000.
