Back in November, KDVR (Denver) Reporter Chris Halsne did a story on how cops transport jail and prison inmates.
The station claimed that their undercover investigation found the Denver Sheriff Department routinely fails to secure passengers in their transport vans.
The story said that when police would slam on the brakes, the inmates would be thrown about in the back of the vehicle.
The Colorado State Fraternal Order of Police is claiming that the story was not accurate. They claim they reached out to the Halsne and News Director Holly Gauntt and nothing happened.
One station insider tells FTVLive, that because of the story, "Now the general assignment Reporters are having a very difficult time in getting sources and PIOs to speak with us."
