WMC in Memphis is having a tough time trying to find bodies to anchor their morning news.
One of the main anchors and the traffic reporter have both been off the air for weeks, dealing with medical issues.
Now word comes that morning Reporter Amy Speropoulos has left the station after 6 years to cross the street to low rated WATN as an Anchor.
Here is the internal memo, obtained by FTVLive sent out by WMC News Director Tammy Phillips:
Amy Speropoulos resigned this morning. Amy has accepted a job at WATN/24 here in Memphis. Since she is crossing the street – today was her last day. We appreciate the work Amy has done for us during the last six years. She was looking for a full-time opportunity anchoring…and so we wish her well in her new position. (Just not too well.)
