Anchor Changes in St. Louis

Back on September 29th, FTVLive told you that while it was expected that Jasmine Huda would get Sharon Reed's old Anchor job at KMOV in St. Louis, we reported it wasn't going to happen.

Reed left the station for WGCL in Atlanta and although Huda seemed to be the shoe in for the replacing her. FTVLive said it appeared that the station was going with Alissa Reitmeier to replace Reed.

KMOV has finally gotten around to naming Reed's replacement and it is indeed Reitmeier that gets the job.

The station announced that Reitmeier, who grew up in area will anchor News 4 at 6 and 10pm, alongside another St. Louis Native, veteran anchor Steve Savard. Reitmeier began her career at KMOV as the News 4 This Morning Traffic Reporter before moving to the anchor desk for News 4 at Noon.

Replacing Reitmeier at noon is Claire Kellett, another market native who started her career at KMOV on Great Day St. Louis as a reporter, but was quickly promoted to morning anchor on News 4 This Morning. During her time on News 4 This Morning, the newscast saw a strong resurgence in viewership. Last year, she returned to Great Day St. Louis as a host and now is excited to return to the anchor desk.

News Director Brian Thouvenot said, “With the addition of Claire Kellett at Noon, 4pm and 5pm and Alissa Reitmeier at 6 and 10pm, we are stronger than ever.”
