Crime Stoppers Boss Faces Jail Time for Eating Evidence

The head of the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers Program could be headed to jail because of something he ate.

Richard “Dick” Masten will find out Thursday just how long he will spend locked up after a he ate a piece of paper containing information regarding an anonymous tip in the courtroom.

“I probably shouldn’t have eaten that piece of paper,” Masten told WFOR.
