Fox News Tops Election Night Ratings

The mid-term elections were a landslide for the GOP and Fox News.

Fox News Channel was far and away the dominant news channel last night during coverage of the midterm elections, besting the three broadcast networks – CBS, NBC and ABC – in addition to CNN and MSNBC in BOTH total viewers and the key 25-54 demographic.

According to Nielsen Media Research, FNC averaged 6.6 million viewers – while second place CBS averaged 5.4 million viewers head-to-head at 10PM ET.

This marks the first time during election coverage that FNC triumphed over ALL of the broadcast networks in the 25-54 demographic.

No surprise, FNC also surpassed CNN and MSNBC combined in both total viewers and in the 25-54 demographic.

And to think, they did all with no magic wall.
