One has to wonder if NY Times Reporter Brian Stelter's new book had anything to do with NBC's decision to use Ann Curry live on Nightly News on Friday Night?

Stelter's book "Top of the Morning" (FTVLive started reading it over the Weekend) points out how badly Ann Curry was treated by NBC when she was pulled from the Today Show.

Just as the book is about to be released, Curry appears live on NBC's Nightly.

Curry appeared on set with Brian Williams as part of the team covering the capture of Boston marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

It was Curry's first time live on NBC in 9 months!

The last time Curry reported live for the Peacock was in July of 2012 while covering the Aurora theater shootings.

Some believe that NBC's allowing Curry to go live on Friday night was directly related to the release of the book that slams the Net and their treatment of the former Today Show anchor.

It appears that NBC is trying to send the message that Ann Curry is still a part of the NBC News team.

It's a message that maybe 9 months too late.
