KHSB in Kansas City has been without a News Director since August.

The station parted ways with News Director Peggy Phillip (Phillip is now an EP at WPLG in Miami) and the job had been vacant ever since.

Finally, the station has found their next news boss.

Carrie Hofmann is joining the station and it is her first ND job.

Most recently the assistant news director at WCNC in Charlotte. Before joining WCNC, a Belo-owned NBC affiliate, she was an assistant news director at KMGH in Denver.  She has worked in newsrooms as an Executive Producer, Producer, and Assignment Editor.

“Carrie has the vision and leadership skills we believe will help 41 Action News move forward,” says Brain Bracco KHSB GM.
