Rick Sanchez Replacing Glenn Beck

Longtime broadcaster and former Miami, MSNBC, CNN anchor Rick Sanchez has a new shift on South Florida radio.

The flashy and sometimes controversial newsman is joining WIOD's morning block from 10 a.m. to noon weekdays beginning Jan. 6.  For the past year, the Pembroke Pines resident has been helming the 3 to 6 p.m. show.  The syndicated Sean Hannity show takes over Sanchez's former slot. And Glenn Beck, whom Sanchez is replacing in the mornings, moves over to the 6 to 9 p.m. block.

"I am on the air for two hours a day having a conversation with people about things that matter and things that are in the news that affect South Florida, which is fun,'' said Sanchez, 55. "It's smart conversation with friends."

So we're guessing none of those friends are Jewish....right Rick?
