TV groups LIN, Hearst and Sinclair have all committed to running Meredith Vieira's upcoming one-hour talk show that will hit the air next September.
Distribution of he show covers now more than 60% of the U.S.
"The Meredith Vieira Show" will be a multi-segmented show covering a variety of topics including lifestyle and celebrity.
Vieira, the former host of "Today" and "The View" resigned from her most recent gig at "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" in January, saying at the time that she was leaving to work on a new project.
The announcement of her show immediately prompted comparisons between Vieira and Katie Couric, who is currently in the second season of her daytime show. "Katie" had sold in over 90 percent of U.S. homes nine months prior to its debut.
Couric's talk show is now on life support.
