Sources tell FTVLive that Scripps owned WXYZ in Detroit has finally parted ways with Anchor Malcom Maddox.

Sources tell FTVLive that  GM Mike Murri had a meeting with the staff and made the announcement.  Maddox bio has been scrubbed from the station's website.

FTVLive FIRST told you that former WXYZ Reporter Tara Edwards filed a $100 million dollar lawsuit against the station saying that Maddox sexually harassed her on many occasions.

Late last year, Scripps suspended Maddox while it conducted an internal investigation into claims against him. In December, the station brought Maddox back to work and now it appears he has been fired.

This week, longtime WXYZ Anchor JoAnne Purtan leaves the station after she was told her contract was not renewed. That means after Friday the station will be down 3 Anchors, with Purtan, Maddox and main Anchor Stephen Clark all gone.
