Variety to Look at Local News

We hear that Variety is getting ready to release a big story about local news.
It's not often that the entertainment magazine dishes up stories about local TV, but with the proposed Sinclair/Tribune deal, it seems that Variety thought it was a good time to shine a light on what is happening in local markets.
The magazine recently did a story about Sinclair claiming that they are not trying to take on Fox News. Although, there are many that don't buy what Sinclair is saying.
But, the story on local news is expected to be more about the industry as a whole. It should be an interesting read and the article is due out very soon.
