Boston Anchor Resurfaces Across the Street

Back in February, FTVLive told you that WCVB (Boston) J.C. Monahan, who co-anchored the station’s 5 p.m. newscast as well as the nightly news magazine “Chronicle,” was moving on when her contract ended.

Well she didn't move far. 

 Monahan is moving over to NBC's start up O&O NBC Boston. The new NBC affiliate has not been off to a great start and they are hoping adding Monahan will goose the ratings. 

NBC Boston News Director Kenny Plotnik released this statement: “We are thrilled to welcome J.C. to the NBC Boston family. Her years of experience in the Boston news scene, both as a news anchor and meteorologist make her an invaluable addition and I’m proud and honored to call J.C. a member of our team.”
