RIP Media General

For Media General employees the nightmare is now real. 

You are now owned by Nexstar and if you thought it was bad before, you haven't seen nothing yet. 

Many of you will lose your job, in the end, you'll be the lucky ones. 

Others will be faced to trying to do Journalism on a shoestring budget and trying to get your story on the air, in between the front office specials that you will be forced to run. 

As the deal closed on the Nexstar/ Media General deal, Nexstar CEO Perry Sook said, "“Upon closing the transaction Nexstar will continue its initiatives across the combined entity to deliver superior, unique local content and services to viewers and businesses in each of the communities it serves.”

And then a pig flew right by behind Sook.
