We Told You!

On September 28th, FTVLive wrote, "FTVLive spies say that WCAU's main weather Anchor Sheena Parveen was spotted talking to suits at WRC in DC.  Tongues are wagging that Parveen might be out the door at WCAU."

Well guess damn what?

WCAU News Director sent a memo to the staff today, announcing that Parveen is leaving the station.

Bet you'll never guess where she's going?

Yep, WRC in DC. Here's the internal memo for you to read, obtained by FTVLive. If you need us, we'll be over here, patting ourselves on the back.

Sheena Parveen has accepted a meteorologist position at our sister station WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.  It is a move Sheena has been wanting.  Our loss is WRC’s gain.  Sheena joined the NBC10 First Alert Weather team 4-years ago, working to protect the Philadelphia area during big weather events like Hurricanes Sandy and the Blizzard 2016. She worked to launch NBC10 Weather Day at Citizens Bank Park, a joint partnership with the Phillies.  She also recorded weather updates for CSN, the Flyers, 76ers and our radio partners 101.1 MORE FM.  Sheena has been a great advocate and supporter of our communities and her love for pets made her the perfect ambassador for our Clear the Shelters pet adoption campaign. I’m certain that DC-area viewers will benefit from her energy, enthusiasm and expertise and immediately connect with her. Please join me in congratulating Sheena on this great career opportunity.  Sheena will make this inter-division move at the end of 2016.
